Today library staff are being asked to do more with less; being asked to accept the change that needs to come in order to serve patrons effectively and efficiently. Staffing hours may be shrinking and less time can mean more work for everyone. Have you ever felt overloaded or overwhelmed? Have you struggled to accomplish everything you and others expect you to accomplish?
Using a unique blend of information, ideas and humor this workshop is designed to help you stay energized and positive in today’s challenging work environment by focusing on the importance of self-care and self-efficacy. Material will explore the topics of identifying and dealing with negativity that can accompany change, understanding basic human responses to change and stress, and how these various change affect our communications with co-workers and patrons. Suggestions and strategies on how to remain positive and energize yourself will be offered.
